The Edge is Friendship

The market doesn’t care.

It’s cold, chaotic, and unforgiving. But somehow, in the middle of all that noise, I found something unexpected—a group chat. And it’s been the most real edge I’ve ever had.

↳ Beginning: Back in June 2024, I started a small X group chat. There were just four of us at first—friends who had seen the cycles, shared the same losses, and LOL'd at the same dumb memes.

I called it the [ RPC ] —a playful nod to a crypto term and my art themes. Fast forward to now, and we’re nearly forty deep, still the same circle, but with one big difference:

we’re navigating this market together—wins, losses, and everything in between.

↳ The Dynamics: None of us are quants or professional traders. We don't use fancy tools inside the gc, we’re just people with the same exposure, the same skills, and the same belief: trading is better when you’re not alone.

RPC isn’t about calls or charts—it’s about late nights debating plays, sharing stupid jokes, and taking W’s or L’s as a group.

And trust? That’s the cornerstone. Every new member is vetted because the last thing any of us want is to get rugged by our own circle. No pumps. No dumps. Just friends, holding each other accountable when the stakes are high.

↳ The Wins (and Losses): I’d be lying if I said it was all glory. Some calls didn’t make it. We took hits. But the wins? Those felt different when we celebrated them together.

Plays like, • $M3M3 — early entry, riding it to an ATH of 201M. • Or catching @SHL0MS 's nothing token (now @god ) at 1.7m and watching it hit 174m. • Or a casual 10x on a token called toilet paper on a Friday evening. 😂

There were smaller ones too: #Conan, #SantaHat, #Mizuki—all of them proof that you don’t need perfect entries when you’ve got the right energy. And these were just the most recent ones.

What matters is being consistent, staying in the game, and learning from the bloodiest of days. We might not have hit 100xs in PNL, but hitting 5 to 10xs...

consistently.

↳ Why This Matters & Why read this: Here’s the truth: trading solo sucks. You second-guess yourself. You spiral when you lose. And even when you win, you’re just sitting there, staring at a number on a screen.

RPC gave me something the market can’t: trench soldiers to laugh with, argue with, and occasionally FOMO with. It’s not about getting every play right—it’s about finding people who make the process fun.

Finally coming to my point...

↳ So, Why Not Build Your Own Circle?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you don’t have to do this alone. Start with people you trust—people who get you. Build a group, trade ideas, share plays, and just have fun in a market that’s gloomy more often than not.

↳ Building Your Circle:

○ Using Group Chats to Tackle the Trenches If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: the market isn’t made for solo heroes. The best edge? A circle that’s got your back when the market doesn’t.

Here’s how you can build, use, and thrive with your own group chat:

○ Start Small, Start Trusted Your first members should be people you already trust—friends who share similar exposure, mindset, and ethics. This keeps the foundation clean and avoids bad actors. Quality over quantity always wins.

○ Set the Rules Early Make it clear what the GC is not. No pumps. No dumps. No flexing paper gains. The real value comes when people feel safe sharing honest plays, doubts, and ideas without judgment.

○ Share Plays, Not Just Calls A great GC isn’t just about posting “buy X” calls. It’s about sharing why you’re looking at a token, discussing risks, entry points, and potential exits. Keep it collaborative so everyone grows together.

○ Celebrate the Wins, Learn from the Losses Markets aren’t linear, and neither are trades. When you win, celebrate as a team. When you lose, use it as a lesson and refine your strategies. A GC works when everyone stays grounded and focused on the bigger picture.

○ Stay Active, Stay Fun Some of the best ideas come from casual chats—memes, jokes, or wild speculations. Keep the vibe light even during the bloodiest days, because morale matters when the trenches feel endless.

○ Keep the Circle Tight Growth is great, but a GC works best when it’s a tight circle. New members should bring value—not just plays, but energy, trust, and accountability. Vetting people ensures the bond stays strong.

The market’s tough, but having a real circle here is tougher. And in a game that’s meant to feel lonely, RPC has been the edge I didn’t know I needed.
